Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Absolutely jaw-dropping. Most of the beaches (like this one) are not accessible. You watch from towering cliffs.
Foggy morning in Big Sur.
The late author and artist Henry Miller lived in Big Sur and spent much time writing here. Take some time to enjoy the Henry Miller Memorial Library, "the place where nothing happens". Read and drink tea while surrounded by majestic Redwood trees. It's a cultural centre with events also.
Big Sur is known for its horseback riding.
We went horseback riding early in the morning in Andrew Molera State Park where you can access the beach. It was so memorable.
Right before my special horse decided it was time for me to get off so he could roll around in the sand. I didn't mind.
Nepenthe Restaurant is a must. This circular restaurant offers breathtaking views no matter where you're sitting.
The relaxed atmosphere of Nepenthe Restaurant is one of the reasons why it's so charming. They even have a fire pit where you can sit and get to know strangers. These Italian kids spoke several languages and their parents were taking them to Burning Man!
