Love, marriage and travel

A few weeks ago Francois and I got married, and of course it involved travel.

We haven't been able to find the words to express how much celebrating our love with our favorite people meant to us.  The magic, the intensity, the overwhelming emotions.  It was the

Through this blog, you've probably noticed how much we love nature. It's where we go to disconnect from the day to day, and reconnect with each other and ourselves.  It's our spiritual place. That's why it was so important for us to get married in nature.  The hardest part was finding the right spot but after a lot of searching we chose Le vignoble de la Bauge; a family run winery and farm in Brigham, in the Eastern Townships, about an hour from Montreal.

Our wedding was completely DIY, from decorating the barn to making our alter.  Everything was personalized. The ceremony was led my god mother. It started with a guided meditation, followed by our favorite readings and my grand-mother blessing us. Our wedding hashtag was #tinafrank but it should have been #waterworks.

After the ceremony we had drinks, food (cooked in a smoker), more speeches (and tears), a camp fire, and we danced the night away. Some guests even camped on site.  It was a weekend gateway with our loved ones. We definitely recommend a trip to the  Eastern Townships, if you're near or far. You can see more pictures here.

My brother was the MC for our wedding and surprised us with a Wandering Lovers spoof video, shot with my dad and step mom, the "Wandering Probation Officers". BEST. SURPRISE. EVER. We're still laughing...
