The first thing that caught our eye in Trona was this shrine left for a young women who had passed away. It was so touching and beautiful. I stumbled across this short film about love and teenagers in Trona, which I think fits nicely with the photo.
We thought this grocery store was abandoned but noticed a man sitting inside alone, eating Cheetos. This is one of the very few businesses in town.
Looking to buy a hotel?
Lots of cars but no one in sight...
Most of the homes we saw looked like this, however they're not all abandoned. Several are lived in which seemed surreal.
This fence made of doors really caught our attention.
We only saw a few people while in town. Unfortunately most of them looked like they suffered from a meth addiction. We also saw burnt down homes which we suspect were meth labs. This town is known for its meth problem. It's incredibly sad.
